Down with the Ship
The old has gone and the new... is on it's way. The olden days of pirate speak have given way to strange new things.
Thanks to many hands the Ship has fallen to the 2005 summer camp season. To all who ripped a board or pulled a nail, Thank You.
I thought you might enjoy seeing the distruction. It's fun that when all is stripped away, all that's left is the cross.

its kinda cool to look at... you're not only seeing the remains of the pirate ship, you're seeing the superhero set too! now i have memories to brighten my day :)

seeing that just makes me want to be sitting there beside it with you guys. no one would even have to say anything. just being there together with the Father would be extremely comforting

Great pictures, Matt. It's sad to see the old ship go, but exciting that a new summer's almost here! I'm praying for you guys and still planning/hoping to be there for a week. Cap'n Jack, I don't think your ship was in working order anyway, so try not to be too upset about its demolition. :-)

Hi Claire and Allison! Great to hear from you...I don't know about ohio people but here in michigan it's a little chilly, what with the snowy weekend. I am eagerly anticipating camp season as well :-)
it snowed here yesterday! i am very ready for camp and summerness!
Yeah Allison moved to MI. it snowed there they got about 6in. here it snowed but it didn't stick.
wow 6 inches! Here in mid-michigan we only got a couple, and it's all gone now...yes! too bad i'm going north in a week. Apparently they've had snow in detroit as late as april 30th before, so this weather isn't unheard of.
It's so cool that you all got snow! We definitely didn't get any here in Tennessee, even though it has been cold for a few days. But ya know what? I'm so ready for summer!! I live right across the street from the pool, and I'm just waiting for another warm day to go enjoy it. :-) It's good to hear from you, Claire and Allison!!
Hi guys, this is Aaron. I didn't get to spend much time out there last summer, but that ship was really cool, and I'll miss not seeing it. Oh well, I'll be there all this summer and will probably get attatched to other things as well. Hey, for all of you who read this - whether you know me or not - could you drop in a prayer for me. You see, I graduate this year and have many different opportunities that I can pursue. I just need God's guidance to show me where to go and what to do. Thanks. -Aaron Tharp

Alright, that's it! I just can't stand other people putting stuff on here w/o me adding my 2 cents. Camp is getting close. This will be my first year spending the whole summer out there with you guys. All you people are so great. I'll see yall then. By the way, Josiah needs some xtra help defending against the Vista fly. i am sooooo exited i get to come the worst thing is having to label EVERYTHING it is soooo hard then there's the pure exitement it makes you crazy waiting and waiting i love your camps and i really hope i can keep coming over and over...there is one problem...Joey is coming at the exact same time exact same camp :( i'm doomed!! oh well see ya soon!
