Here's where you can find all the great details about being on staff at Pleasant Vineyard.
Summer Staff Positions Available
Each year PVM looks for young men and women who are Godly role models for the children attending camp. We are in need of college students, or those who have been out of high school for one year, to be cabin counselors and lead some of the camp programs. Positions available include:
Digital Media Director
Rock Wall Instructor
Activity Staff (high school graduate)
Most of the positions we are looking for are Cabin Counselors who will also attend morning breakouts along with the campers and help with breakout ses. Certain counselors may be asked to help lead these breakouts, especially if they have a good knowledge of the subject matter. Certain Breakouts involve knowledge in Rock Climbing, Paintball, Drama, Aquatic Sports, Mechanics, Nature, Computer Gaming, Digital Photography, and Camping. We are also more than willing to train individuals who have an interest in a particular area.
Jr. Staff is a select group of dedicated high school students that have completed the 11th grade and demonstrate outstanding responsibility, character, and dedication to Christ in their personal lives. Jr. Staff work for four weeks and is either a voluntary position or mission support.
These talented young men and women will be doing a lot of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps this camp going. Responsibilities may include assisting camp counselors with campers, helping with large group games, helping with breakout programs, running the camp store, and doing a variety of camp wide projects. In addition to these jobs, Jr. Staff will have the opportunity to minister to kids and learn the ins and outs of being a counselor. All Jr. Staff must attend Jr. Staff Training June 7-15.
Summer Staff Compensation
New This Year
PVM Staff are able to earn more this summer by raising mission support. PVM will help each staff member raise their support by equiping you with a mission support letter to send to potential supporters explaining how you will be impacting the lives of children this summer for Jesus Christ. We will also send you envelopes, reply envelopes, and follow up letters once a donation is received. All you have to provide are the names of your friends and family, your signature on each letter, and stamps.
WEEKLY SALARY: In addition to your mission support, all summer camp staff members will receive a stipend wage of $180 per week.
How To Apply
The application explains the staff position and our Statement of Faith. One of the reference forms may be given to a family member; the other two must be filled out by someone other than a family member. You can find these forms under the “Summer Camp” or “Camp Forms” pull-down on our website.
Please fill out the application entirely and mail or fax it to Pleasant Vineyard as soon as possible. Have all reference forms mailed or faxed directly to Pleasant Vineyard.
After we receive your application, we will call you to set up a personal interview. This year’s camp season is from June 12th to August 3rd. Camp sessions are from Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon. If you have any questions about the camps or would like to talk with one of our staff members from last year, just give us a call and we will get you the information you need. You may also feel free to come and visit the campgrounds.
